Text Size

Issue - The Fonts inside the program seem too small. Areas like the Menu Bar and Message boxes are too small to read.

Solution - This issue happens on screen resolutions higher than 1092 x 1080. The easiest thing is too decrease the screen resolution to this size, but if that is not your preference or you would like to try others way, please follow the three different solutions below.

First, try applying the settings below:

  1. Close One Touch.
  2. Right Click the Icon for One Touch found on the desktop screen.
  3. Left Click OPEN FILE LOCATION. If this isn't on the list, try Right Clicking over the name and not the picture.
  4. Look for a highlighted JOSHUA file.
  5. Right Click this JOSHUA file which has the icon. (Not JOSHUA.DLL)
  6. Left Click PROPERTIES.
  7. Left Click COMPATIBILITY.
  8. Scroll down a few lines, and put a Check mark on DISABLE DISPLAY SCALING ON HIGH DPI SETTINGS.
  9. Click the APPLY Button.
  10. Click the OK Button.
  11. Close this window.
  12. See if One Touch runs better.

Second, try increasing the overall text in your computer using the instructions below:

  1. Close down One Touch.
  2. Right Click in an open area.
  3. Left Click on Display Settings.
  4. Move the bar to the right to increase the text.
  5. Open One Touch and see if that helps.

Third, try increasing specific areas like the Menu Bar:

  1. Close down One Touch.
  2. Right Click in an open area.
  3. Left Click on Display Settings.
  4. Scroll down and left click on Advance Display Settings.
  5. Scroll down again and left click on Advance sizing on text and other items.
  6. In the window that appears, click on Title Bar and a list will appear with different areas you can change.
  7. Click on the font size to it's right and put a check mark next to Bold.
  8. Open One Touch and see if that helps.

Correcting Greek and Hebrew Fonts

The easiest thing to try when getting your Greek and Hebrew back is DELETE PCSB FONTS:

  1. Open your system's Fonts folder by clicking Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Fonts
  2. First, verify that the files (fonts) PCSB GREEK and PCSB HEBREW are present.
  3. If PCSB fonts are present - highlight and delete the files PCSB Greek and PCSB Hebrew.
  4. RE-INSTALL FONTS
  5. Navigate to the fonts folder within your PC Study Bible on your Version 4 or Version 5 program disc.
  6. Highlight and copy all the fonts in the PC Study Bible fonts folder.
  7. Paste the copied fonts into your systems Fonts folder that was opened in step 1. (If you receive any messages about replacing currently installed fonts click Yes")
  8. Close the FONTS folder.
  9. Close the CONTROL PANEL.
  10. Open PC Study Bible and check the Fonts.
  11. If there is still a font problem, close PC Study Bible, restart your computer, open PC Study Bible, and check the fonts again.

If the FONTS folder is not appearing

You will need to follow these instructions below

The missing FONT folder is located on the version 4.X Library disc. This disc will be labeled V4 Complete Reference Library, or Advanced Reference Library. Look through the CD's for PC Study Bible and find either disc.

If you are unable to locate your library disc, then download the attachments to this article, located below, and copy them into your computers Fonts Folder. Proceed to Step 9 to copy them to your computer.

  1. 1. Put this Complete, or Advance Reference Library disc into the CD drive and close the drive.
  2. If you don't have your disc, then go to the instructions below these and download the files that would normally show up on your disc.
  3. Windows 7 should bring up a window that has a few choices.
  4. Choose the choice, OPEN FOLDERS TO VIEW FILES.
  5. This will give you a list of the contents on this CD.There should be one folder named FONTS.
  6. Double click this folder to open it.
  7. There will be several font files here. Highlight them by pressing CTRL+A.
  8. Now Press CTRL+C.
  9. Close the window that shows the contents of the CD.
  10. Choose the START Button.
  11. Now Choose CONTROL PANEL.
  12. Once the Control Panel opens, look for APPEARANCE and PERSONALIZATION and Choose this option.
  13. Depending on how your Control Panel is setup, will determine whether or not this option will be available.
  14. Choose FONTS.
  15. When the FONTS screen opens, Press CTRL+V.
  16. Windows may want you to choose Yes, or No, to reinstall these Fonts. Choose YES until all fonts are reinstalled.
  17. Close all windows until back to the MS Windows Desk top.
  18. Remove the Disc from the CD drive.
  19. Now start PC Study Bible and check for Greek and Hebrew text.

You can also create a Fonts folder in the PC Study Bible 4 folder and put in the 5 Font files found by clicking on the link below:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1AeBh4yN4g0miU-LTxRHa5k3MAM3_PPI2
This link will take you to a public folder on Google Drive, that will allow you to download the fonts for your library if you need them or can't find them on your disc or you don't have your disc handy.

Other Solutions for Issues with Greek and Hebrew Fonts

You can also try:

  1. Go to the folder C:/Program Files (x86)/ Biblesoft/ PC Study Bible/ Fonts.
  2. Open up a Font's file.
  3. Click on the Install button in the upper right corner.
  4. Note - If you get a message saying this is already installed, click on Replace to refresh the file.
  5. Repeat steps 1 to 3 for all the Font'files or any file ending in TTF.

Note - There maybe a Parsings file that is in this folder and that can be skipped.

One last fix is to:

  1. Go into the Options for PC Study Bible.
  2. Click on Text Styles.
  3. Click on Advanced.
  4. Click on Greek and make sure the font is set to PCSB Greek.
  5. Click on Hebrew and make sure the font is set to PCSB Hebrew.
